"I have now, just this minute finished reading your book. It is beautifully written. I couldn't put the book down and read it in two days. I could smell Roppongi and hear the noise. I could feel your joy, your tiredness, your fascination, your kindness. I did the same job in Kings Cross, Sydney in the early 80s but would have loved to have done it in Japan. I love the Japanese and was married to a Japanese man who lives now in Yokohama. I live in Brisbane. I am 52 now and still have never been to japan. This is the year I hope to go.
